Wyoming Conference United Methodist Church

WYOMLIST

Since the Wyoming Conference HomePage went on the Internet in November 1995, many clergy and laity expressed the desire to use this technology to discuss issues and ideas related to ministry and mission in our local churches, districts and conference.

[email protected] is an E-Mail discussion group (mailing list) for the clergy and laity of the Wyoming Conference of the United Methodist Church, which is located in the Southern Tier of New York and Northeastern Pennsylvania. Subscriptions are limited to members of the Wyoming Conference.

Here are some ways you can use wyomlist:

  • (1) all communications on wyomlist should convey respect for others and reflect Christian love. With that in mind, you may want to use wyomlist to:
  • (2) discuss our primary task of reaching out and receiving, encountering God in transforming ways, nurturing and making disciples of Jesus Christ, transforming the world in the name of Jesus Christ;
  • (3) ask questions related to ministry and mission in the local churches of the Wyoming Conference;
  • (4) exchange ideas related to ministry and mission in the local churches of the Wyoming Conference;

  • (7) disseminate information about the local churches, districts and the Wyoming Conference;
  • (8) in order to streamline communications, please do not use wyomlist to copy or forward verbatim messages from other lists or web sites. If you want to relay such information, please summarize and include a URL that anyone interested in seeing what you find so important can call up for the complete message;
  • (9) wyomlist is not to be used for personal attacks, libelous statements, threatening or intimidating communications; remember, wyomlist is a public forum and postings which fall under those categories could leave you open to legal action;
